Had the beef okonomiyaki, pork okonomiyaki. We liked the beef better than pork one, but both were tasty. There is also now an English menu that made it easy to order in English.

Great Okonomiyaki, sit at tepanyaki style bar and watch them cook it for you. We also fried ramen with shrimp basic but delicious. A little hard to find on google maps but persevere, it’s worth it.

Friendly and helpful staff. The yakisoba and okonomiyaki are cooked on the hot plate in front of you. Great experience if you have not had it this way. Prices are also very reasonable.

You know you’re doing something wrong here when you’re walking on a mostly empty big street (especially if the only other people are sloppy-looking Australians). In Tokyo, it’s probably because everyone else is on a parallel walking street or else underground. In Kanazawa it’s apparently because they’re all in the mall. That’s where (after an alienating walk up from the station - don’t worry, the rest of town is much nicer) I found this spot on B1 of a mall that while not exactly hopping midafternoon at least had a Japanese pulse. A final okonomiyaki was on my bucket list as I wind down in Japan, so why not. At the counter with a big griddle before me. Went for the pork and a late afternoon nama beer. The clerk cooked it capably. Not a particularly charming shop, and the soundtrack sounded like the song on endless loop at Daiso. But it was good, in that indulgent pancake kind of way, slathered with mayo and sweet sauce. Unlike say Hamburg steak and omurice, okonomiyaki seems worth coming back to. Glad I did.

Had a lunch at Botejyu, located in the basement of Kanazawa Emza. okonomiyaki were so good. They cooked it in front of you. We had two pancakes and drink each for around $30 aud. We will be back for noodles

Dropped by Botejyu Kanazawa while exploring the shopping mall and had a really satisfying meal. The okonomiyaki was the star, fluffy on the inside with a nice crisp on the outside, and packed with flavour. The yakisoba was also really solid, savoury with just the right amount of sauce and a generous mix of meat and veg. Service was friendly and efficient, and the space was cosy although a bit cramped. It’s a great spot for a comforting bite if you’re in the area and craving some good old-school Osaka flavours. Would happily come back again.

Very well hidden in the shopping centre … but after finding it the okonomiyaki was too good and although I didn’t try them the noodles looked banging! Very kind staff lots of locals (we were the only foreign people). Deffo recommend

This is an excellent restaurant and a must try for anyone who hasn't tried Okonomiyaki / Yakisoda. I got the steak Okonomiyaki which was cooked to perfection and my personal favorite Japanese food. The atmosphere was good and the staff were accommodating to English speakers with an English menu. The beer was a good price and it was all round good value for a great experience
